72 Names (Hallelujah) Day : 59 Music is My Life

This video is a small clip from one of my last gigs. The song is Music is my Life and it was one of the options to be my single. The song represents what music is for me and I’ve got so much feedback from other singer songwriters who have felt connected to the words.

Music is like addiction but a positive one. We all feel alive when we write music, are in the studio or perform. For me when I write melody it’s one of the only places that I let go and have absolute trust that a song will come. We can never be certain from where the melody comes but it doesn’t matter. Giving your life to music is surrounding, it takes such an important part of life and you are not always with rewards for the hard work. I am a big believer that when the fruit is ready it will happen but also one needs to have a lot of luck and to be in the right place at the right time and to make it happen.

With my new single 72 names (Hallelujah) I am learning so much about promotion, social media and other important parts of the music such as the business. As without those aspects, the fans, the readers, the listeners the song would stay in the draw and wouldn’t get life!
