TALLY’S DIARY 1 – HOW DO I KEEP MY ENERGY LEVEL ALWAYS HIGH?

People always ask me; how do I keep my energy level’s so high all the time and today I’d like to share with the secret of how I do it and it’s by boosting myself with holistic treatments .

I love doing them every time I feel a bit low in energy or spirit. It doesn’t matter which treatment from reflexology, cranial therapy, massage or a good facial but giving this time for myself always pick me back up.

When I really need to recharge I’ll go for a night to a spa hotel and have treatments. If I go for two days I feel like a new person! I like spa hotels because having the oppertunity to be able to partake in all the amazing treatments and spoil myself.

On a short break, I will always have a treatment on the night I arrive, that immediately gives me time to relax – something like a good massage or a swimming pool/sauna/steam room combination are great first day activities, then the next day I will partake in an extra treatment even, if it’s just a mini facial.

One of my favourite spa hotel’s in the UK (and my taste is very good because the Hollywood actor George Clooney also chose this place for his second honeymoon) is Dainsfield House Hotel and Spa in Marlow- on -Thames.

I love it because on one hand it’s a real luxury hotel but it has a hugely relaxed atmosphere especially with the 65 acres of glorious gardens with outstanding views over the River Thames and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Although the hotel is very elegant, there isn’t the need to be dressed up all the time (although do feel free to go as posh as you like) so you are constantly in a relaxed state to enjoy your time there.

When I last went to recharge myself there I had a treatment with the therapist named Judy and honestly, I can’t wait to be in her hands again on my next short break.

I really recommend that you look up their offers as the hotel often combines a one-night stay and delicious meal at the exclusive restaurant.

So please remember every time your energy level or mood are a bit low to recharge yourself!

Looking Back at 2016 & Happy New Year!

It is wonderful to reflect on the year and to look forward to the new year of 2017
and to thank many people that have made this year so special for me.
I started 2016 by filming the video for my song “Free Will”.
It was directed by Charles H. Joslain and we completed it recently, after an idea by my husband Simon, showing the story of me as a little girl sitting at the piano and demonstrating my own Free Will and growing into the women that I am today.

My husband was inspired by a photo we found of me sitting at a piano as a child
and it’s a nice closure for me.

A big thank you to Rupert Truman who filmed the new footages of the piano and as always capturing my journey this year through photographs.

Thanks to Charles Joslain and his team at the Central Film School.
Thanks to Gagik Karagheuzian for editing the video which, coincidentally was completed on the very same day that I composed the song on Christmas Eve all those years ago.

This year, the Jewish Festival Hanukkah also fell on Christmas Eve and is a perfect time to bring the message of celebrating light that the message of the song is all about.

In 2016 I released my single ‘A Love Song For You’ from the album of the same name.
The song was written as a surprise for my husband on our wedding day and I co-wrote it with Barry Upton, who has achieved global success with hits over the last three decades.

tally-koren-a-love-song-for-you_single_itunesThe wonderful Regional Radio team of Hart Media were involved in the campagne, spearheaded by the vibrant Jo Hart who introduced me to Cat Hockley from Fifth Element PR – thank you. It was also a real pleasure working with the National Radio promotersLisa Davis and Mike Armstrong.

For the release of the single I re-edited the video of the song with the help of Boyd Skinner who has been so loyal to me throughout the years – thanks Boyd!
The video premier was featured on the front page of the Female First magazine.

I was also invited by the TV station London Live for a thirty minute interview
with Vanessa Baffoe.

This subject is so very important to me, though as a singer, it is easier for me to sing than to talk, so my heart was beating extra beats, especially after hearing the oratory talents
of Lords Eames OM. The biggest surprise for me was when Lord Eames concluded the meeting by saying that he was touched by my speech. So filled with Israeli Chutzpah, I spoke to him at the end and told him about my vision to have an event and to invite influential women from different Nationalities and Professions from around the World to discuss peace and to show the strength of the women through simple communication and to emphasise the
similarities of our cultures.

The event did happen and I would like to thank Lord Eames with all my heart for giving me that opportunity and believing in my vision of putting the emphasis
on building bridges.

I also had a very inspiring event on International Women’s day and would like to thank the main speakers Baroness Blood, the former Mayor of Enfield, Katie Anula the Palestinian Women’s right activist Ahalam Akram. We were entertained by the Bristol TV stars Livvy and Chrissie.

I have edited a special version of my song Free Will , starting with the piano version and ending with the Latin version in the hope that it will make everyone dance.

The launch of my album ‘A Love Song For You’ was at the heart of Piccadilly with great musicians and great guests, so I’d like to thank everyone who was there and especially Phil Curran who co produced the album with me.

For the first time in history  I used the words of Mozart himself from a letter that he wrote to his wife when and  made my own adaptation –   ‘One Million Kisses’ – to Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23, K.488

It was an important event and I recieved such a very warm welcome and I would love to thank Davinder Prasad from BOPA for inviting me to sing not only there but at other events in the Midlands.

In August I was very privileged to be on the stage at the Shalom festival in Edinburgh and sing Jerusalem of Gold amongst other songs. It was very special for me to be at this Festival as a former fringe award winner but especially for the importance of its statement. Special thanks to Nigel Gooddrich for organising such an event.

Patricia Teitelbaum deserves special thanks too for inviting me In October to sing at the Antwerp Peace Festival and to my musicians Dean Ross and Antonio Soto who accompanied me. Standing on the stage in the heart of the City singing Hatikvah was a very emotional moment in my year.
*
In November I met with the Archbishop of York at his Palace and what an inspiring man he is. He kindly presented me with a signed copy of his latest book Agape Love Stories which you really should read.

On the same day I met with Steve Kay, the winner of a competition I was running in September, who is a fan and supports me through social media. We met in York and it was good to hear his feedback about my music .

It was lovely to be involved in important Charity events throughour the year and singing raises peoples hearts, so I would like to thank Keith Best for taking both myself and Kate Anoula back to Enfield – a town were I lived first when I came to London.

Bailiffscourt Hotel & Spa – The Perfect Place to Chill Out !

I recently wrote a few blogs about spa hotels. I just love that concept as it recharges me much more than the normal hotel and the treatments give me extra benefit. I have just come back fro Bailiffscourt   Hotel & Spa in Arundel, West Sussex and I have fallen in love with all of it !

                                                                      Image

The concept of an historic house gives a warm feeling to the whole place, especially with the maze of wood-panelled passageways and its intimate lounges which are ancient but also unashamedly stylish.

                                                                     Image

The hotel’s location is one of the other benefits. It is less than 3 minutes walk from  the beautiful Climping Beach.

                                                                  Image

In contrast to the ancient , furnished hotel, the spa has a modern style and the treatment rooms are all equipped with a water bed which adds extra

relaxation to the treatment. What I loved most was the hot tub and the heated pool outside. It was so nice to have a swim even when it was raining!

                               Image

The spa chain has a fantastic range of beauty products called Templespa that are used in the treatments but are also available in the rooms to give you a   taste of them. One of the products which I bought was the breakfast Smoothie. It was an excellent exfoliator and my skin felt very good after using it.

The hotel spa has large fields all around and many celebrities, such as Russell Crowe, Kristin Stewart and Robert Pattinson, have visited it to enjoy the peace and quiet. I saw with my own eyes , some local rich people arrive by helicopter, park outside the restaurant and then enjoy its delicious food.

                                                                            Image

I can’t wait to to go there again, hopefully for more than one night, but one night still gives you a wonderful braek and is ideal for romantic events. The hotel has a lot of special deals, so, I suggest that you look at their website or call them before booking.

I Love Hotel & Spa Weekend Breaks !

Recently I have started to enjoy using more spa Hotels. They give me the benefit of enjoying the luxury of a hotel but also allow me to spoil myself with the spa facilities with its’ special treatments and atmosphere. For my birthday we booked 2 nights at  The Spread Eagle in the heart of  Market town Midhurst .

A beautiful village which I could explore the countryside and also relax and enjoy a luxury Spa .

Image

From the moment we entered the lobby we knew that we had chosen the right place. The hotel staff were welcoming and the lobby had a nice feel to it.

Our room was beautiful. For this special occasion we booked a  Deluxe Room which is more expensive then a regular and stunning . However, I would suggest that you always ask how much an upgrade would cost because if the hotel isn’t fully booked, you might be lucky like I was!

The spa had a large selection of treatments at a reasonable price. For the first time I had the hot stone massage and it was heaven !

The spa and pool were not big but they were just the right size to allow you to enjoy a few hours of relaxation.

The food in the hotel was very tasty and of a high standard.

I would highly recommend having a short break and they have a really good deals –

A glass of chilled Champagne with their  complements before a delicious dinner along with full English breakfast, 2 full days relaxing in the Spa and the Best Available Bedroom ~ all for just £99 per person – Enjoy !

Spa Holiday in Goa

Last Christmas I took a seven day holiday in an amazing Spa Hotel in Goa – The Park Hyatt.

As I have a holistic approach to life I asked my husband to go to a Spa hotel rather than our traditional beach holiday. It proved to be the best holiday we’ve ever had and I benefited from a relaxing state of mind and body together with the glorious sunshine and the beautiful Goan cuisine.

My husband and I have travelled extensively, but this was the first time we have visited a Spa Resort and it made an interesting change. I booked the holiday through Flight Centre East Sheen and the great service and friendliness started before even going away. Robyn from Flight Centre found us the the luxurious hotel, set in sixty-four acres of manicured gardens and carefully designed lagoons, pools and restaurants there was a strong impression of space and quietness. The facilities and attention to detail in the beautiful rooms was everything you would expect from a sophisticated 5 star resort with a wide range of relaxing treatments to choose from at the Spa and expert tutorage in the Yoga classes. I took 3 private Yoga classes for the price of one private class in the UK and I could see a change in my body and suppleness in few days. I felt clearer and more focused and my appetite changed.

Since then I am still enjoying the benefits of my treatments and my focus on more nutritional and nourishing ingredients in my food.
