“MAGICAL POWERS”
Chorus

I’d make an end to poverty
Destroy pain and suffering
I’d make a place of peace and no wars
Comfort the child who cries
Would open pathways that didn’t exist
I’ll teach people to let go and forgive
Speak out and make peoples voice heard

Looking Back at 2016 & Happy New Year!

It is wonderful to reflect on the year and to look forward to the new year of 2017
and to thank many people that have made this year so special for me.
I started 2016 by filming the video for my song “Free Will”.
It was directed by Charles H. Joslain and we completed it recently, after an idea by my husband Simon, showing the story of me as a little girl sitting at the piano and demonstrating my own Free Will and growing into the women that I am today.

My husband was inspired by a photo we found of me sitting at a piano as a child
and it’s a nice closure for me.

A big thank you to Rupert Truman who filmed the new footages of the piano and as always capturing my journey this year through photographs.

Thanks to Charles Joslain and his team at the Central Film School.
Thanks to Gagik Karagheuzian for editing the video which, coincidentally was completed on the very same day that I composed the song on Christmas Eve all those years ago.

This year, the Jewish Festival Hanukkah also fell on Christmas Eve and is a perfect time to bring the message of celebrating light that the message of the song is all about.

In 2016 I released my single ‘A Love Song For You’ from the album of the same name.
The song was written as a surprise for my husband on our wedding day and I co-wrote it with Barry Upton, who has achieved global success with hits over the last three decades.

tally-koren-a-love-song-for-you_single_itunesThe wonderful Regional Radio team of Hart Media were involved in the campagne, spearheaded by the vibrant Jo Hart who introduced me to Cat Hockley from Fifth Element PR – thank you. It was also a real pleasure working with the National Radio promotersLisa Davis and Mike Armstrong.

For the release of the single I re-edited the video of the song with the help of Boyd Skinner who has been so loyal to me throughout the years – thanks Boyd!
The video premier was featured on the front page of the Female First magazine.

I was also invited by the TV station London Live for a thirty minute interview
with Vanessa Baffoe.

This subject is so very important to me, though as a singer, it is easier for me to sing than to talk, so my heart was beating extra beats, especially after hearing the oratory talents
of Lords Eames OM. The biggest surprise for me was when Lord Eames concluded the meeting by saying that he was touched by my speech. So filled with Israeli Chutzpah, I spoke to him at the end and told him about my vision to have an event and to invite influential women from different Nationalities and Professions from around the World to discuss peace and to show the strength of the women through simple communication and to emphasise the
similarities of our cultures.

The event did happen and I would like to thank Lord Eames with all my heart for giving me that opportunity and believing in my vision of putting the emphasis
on building bridges.

I also had a very inspiring event on International Women’s day and would like to thank the main speakers Baroness Blood, the former Mayor of Enfield, Katie Anula the Palestinian Women’s right activist Ahalam Akram. We were entertained by the Bristol TV stars Livvy and Chrissie.

I have edited a special version of my song Free Will , starting with the piano version and ending with the Latin version in the hope that it will make everyone dance.

The launch of my album ‘A Love Song For You’ was at the heart of Piccadilly with great musicians and great guests, so I’d like to thank everyone who was there and especially Phil Curran who co produced the album with me.

For the first time in history  I used the words of Mozart himself from a letter that he wrote to his wife when and  made my own adaptation –   ‘One Million Kisses’ – to Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23, K.488

The Most important 10 Moments of my Year 2014

1.pink lion –
This is a wonderful memory that I got from January last year. I attented to the Midem music festival in Cannes where about 10.000 people from all around the world came to talk and do business in regards with music.
It’s definitely a great place for artists to do some networking and also meeting publishers and record labels. On the last day of my visit I decided to do a good meditation and visualisation before starting my long schedule day of meetings. It made me feel strong, focused and very relaxed.
I texted my husband, who is a Behaviour Strategist in Harley Street, and wrote – I feel like a pink lion. As a response, my husband sent me this wonderful photo that became my screen saver, reminding me that sensation of feeling strong but soft at the same time – Velvet glove with Iron fist .

2. On the same day I went to the Carlton hotel in Cannes, where all the exclusive people from the music industry have their meetings. With the attitude of a Pink Lion I was looking around and also very aware of what was going on. Suddenly I saw a man in his late sixties who was talking with the Warner music representative in Israel. I was drawn to talk to him even though I felt a bit shy. I looked at my pink lion photo and went straight and started to speak to him. I was thrilled to realise that my intuition was so strong as the man was the legendary -Seymour Stein, who was the founder of Sire Records which signed pioneer artists such as Talking Heads, The Pretenders , Madonna, Depeche Mode and many more . I told him about my song ‘Free Will’ and very soon I will actually send him the single!

3. Deciding to do the kickstarter campaign was a moment that I will never forget. To do such a campaign I had to work out of my comfort zone, as we all know that asking for money is not the easiest thing.

4. Recording string section for my single.
It was the first time that I had 14 players playing my songs. I absolutely loved it and it felt very emotional. The cinematic strings section were recorded by Haydn Bendall who’s previous credit include Kate Bush, Katie Melua and Dido. The beautiful strings arrangement was done by Phil Curran who worked with me on my previous BBC 2 playlisted single “Beauty of the Duty”.

who is know for his collaboration with
the Gypsy Kings.

It’s time to say goodbye to – 72 Names !

It’s time to say goodbye to – 72 Names !

Since 2010 my life was all around my first album 72 Names .

Although I had before an album with collection of songs based on the most know classical melodies – Timeless Melodies .

72 Names  album was my first album as an artist with my own melodies and words .

As an independent artist I feel so proud of what I manage to achieve and how much I learn from it.

It’s only when you jumped to a deep water that you learn how to swim .

I learn so much about promotion , radio pluggers, public relation , production , social media ,radio,  playlist and more.

I had few critics that wrote about the album that it had allot of potential  and I am a good singer but the main criticism was that it was collection of songs with different  directions .

I completely agree with that claim as it was my intention to put collection of my best songs together and I can’t help it that I am a lady with many hats .

Looking back, yes it might be easier to market it with only one style but as I wrote in my song – Calling You

” I never look back , I never regret ”  I learn through  the different styles what I really love and who are my real audience.

And  its time to move on to something new , so Watch out for my new project !

All We Need is Love – Olympics Reflections

All We Need is Love –  Olympics Reflections

I hope you all enjoyed watching the Olympics, for me the athletics, the swimming and the diving were the main highlights. It brought back to me great memories of when I was the fastest girl in school in which the climax of my running was when I achieved 8.7 in the 60 metres while I was competing with the fastest boy in school and we got the same result. I wish I had a camera at the time to film the expression of my excitement, I took the laces off my trainers and tore them apart.

I never managed to achieve that speed again as we moved to Mexico city, which is a very high place and it was difficult for me to run, but the fire stayed inside me for all those years and slowly turned into singing and writing songs. The Olympic gold medals

Winners showed me one single thing;  how much training is the first basic thing  to succeed but  support  and love are the essential ingredient  to achieve something in life.

We could see on TV how  the strong connection between  Andy Murray and Michael Phelps mothers  and  the stories of all the other champions with their supportive families .

The GB team succeed beyond our expectations  and they all say of how  much the support and love of the  audience affected them.

Last night their was a programme of the best moments in football and there was an unbelievable moment when Paolo Di Canio from West Ham at the past got grumpy with the team and sat down on the field refusing to play .

Suddenly all the crowd started to sing his name and it was like super man suddenly putting his armour on and he just woke up and played like he never played before and scored immediate goals. It was clear as crystal how the crowd effected him.

For me as an independent artist you are the support  & off course my sweet husband – every comment, every like , spreading the word, download my music and especially your personal emails give me the drive to keep doing what I love so much .

Thank You !

Miracle 3 – Calling You

Calling You is known to be the song that caused me the biggest miracle in my life, meeting my husband. It was a very cold winter evening when I was in the studio and I asked my producer Phil Curran after our session to play a few chords as I feel like writing a song. It was probably a real yearning for finding the love that I was so much looking for and because I felt so lonely in the UK, which is not my home place, which made the angel hear me.

‘I’m calling you now I’m alone, I’m calling you my angel make me strong’.

After a few weeks of writing the song I met (the angel) who after a very short time became my husband.

Greener World

In the last few years the World had become much more ‘green’ conscious. Supermarkets and other shops are selling a bag for a life-time, famous people are constantly supporting charity events and the news provides us with coverage about Green ‘initiatives’.

I thought I was doing my bit but realised my awareness was very small about the subject until my friend Sabina Lucia invited me to a wonderful event in a delightful health shop in Kew Gardens – Oliver’s. We had the privilege to watch the movie ‘Plastic Shores’ by Ed Scott- Clarke for the first time. The event was sponsored by Greener Upon Thames and it started with a talk by fabulous guest speaker Roz Savage – National Geographic Adventurer of the year. Roz was a very interesting lady with such a beautiful character and she described her journey’s as a lone yacht-woman and the importance of bottled water. What was especially impressive was how she said that ‘one stroke in the water doesn’t lead anywhere but millions will take you from country to country and this is the same with bottles of water as each one counts although we can’t really see the difference’.

The movie was about one hour long and covered the subject in a very profound way by showing the growth of the plastic industry in our society and how it’s effecting us all today. She talked about the dangers of the countless plastic bottles in the sea that she encountered and how fish are effected by them. I think for all of us the movie gave us so much information but also practical advice about recycling and the need to take the protection of our Planet seriously. This helped me to realize how important this subject is and how just little things that I do can influence the World to be a healthier and Greener place. We all got as a gift a lifetime bag and I have been using it almost every time I go shopping!

Spa Holiday in Goa

Last Christmas I took a seven day holiday in an amazing Spa Hotel in Goa – The Park Hyatt.

As I have a holistic approach to life I asked my husband to go to a Spa hotel rather than our traditional beach holiday. It proved to be the best holiday we’ve ever had and I benefited from a relaxing state of mind and body together with the glorious sunshine and the beautiful Goan cuisine.

My husband and I have travelled extensively, but this was the first time we have visited a Spa Resort and it made an interesting change. I booked the holiday through Flight Centre East Sheen and the great service and friendliness started before even going away. Robyn from Flight Centre found us the the luxurious hotel, set in sixty-four acres of manicured gardens and carefully designed lagoons, pools and restaurants there was a strong impression of space and quietness. The facilities and attention to detail in the beautiful rooms was everything you would expect from a sophisticated 5 star resort with a wide range of relaxing treatments to choose from at the Spa and expert tutorage in the Yoga classes. I took 3 private Yoga classes for the price of one private class in the UK and I could see a change in my body and suppleness in few days. I felt clearer and more focused and my appetite changed.

Since then I am still enjoying the benefits of my treatments and my focus on more nutritional and nourishing ingredients in my food.

Miracle 2 – Calling You: Moses Grave

When we were driving quite deep into the desert, we suddenly saw a building that looked like a mosque.  It happened to be ‘Nabo Mosa’ – Prophet Moses place of burial according to the Muslims.  I couldn’t believe it, I started to scream and cry in the car. Itzik the guy that took me to the desert didn’t know anything about me or the song but from all of the places in Israel he took me to the right place. ‘Calling You’ is a love song but people who look deeper into the lyrics will see that the main inspiration of the lyrics is Moses with parables taken from the Bible; ‘Will I ever see the promised land’. After walking for 40 years in the desert Moses never saw the promise land and the question is why?

When we started filming an Arab guy told us that we were not allowed to film as it’s a Holy place but I told him that my song is very spiritual and about Moses and he allowed us to continue. I felt so emotional and honoured. I went inside the place and as one of the rooms had a beautiful acoustic I started to sing the line ‘Can you hear my voice’ without the backing track, and the Angel heard me and a Muslim man came to me and shook my hand and asked if I am Jewish. He was such a kind man who deals with education and peace. A miracle into miracle, a Muslim and Jewish inside a mosque, feeling the vibrations in air, the warmth of the desert – the love – with the same roots & connection – Moses.

On the same day that I uploaded the video on YouTube, I was in a wonderful healing retreat. At lunchtime I shared with everyone the story about the miracle. One of the girls who I didn’t know was a Palestinian and her grandfather was the man that restored that building. I couldn’t believe that we were talking about the same place but I showed her video and it was the same place! Angels sometime hear us when we pray with sincerity.

Link to watch the video inside the Nabo Mosa  –
